They can do a “Plain view” search other then that its all consent , they can’t search through your belongings, or go through back-rooms if they just smell pot (if they see it you’re screwed) This is why they ask you alot of questions, basically its intimidation/naive people that give up their rights to these questions.

Do any of you have any idea how long it takes to get warrant with the use wifi computers, good all in one printer. ten minutes, any officer can write a app for the warrant. Send it to the judge and swear it is the truth over the cell phone.

Judge Prints the app, question the officer signs it and scans it back into the computer sends it back over the computer. Not like use to be ten years where it took a few hours. Because of the distance to get to the station house and back to the judge and then back out to the seen.

This may be true for an auto search, but not a house search. There are 4 reasons to search a house, none of which rely only on probable cause.
Probable cause is what the police take to a judge to issue a warrant.

Only if a cop hears somebody screaming for help, or if you leave you door open and the cop sees thru the opening a dead body or a kilo of pot on top of your sofa or something like that.
Even if the cop smells marijuana, he can not enter your home without your consent. They need to get a warrant.
