Hey UC, actually she didn’t. Tina Fey did in an SNL skit. She did say something in the Katie Couric interview to the effect that Alaska was keeping an eye out for the Russians because if Putin “reared his head” and they invaded the USA they’d have to come through Alaska to do it. You really can see Russia from the Alaskan island of Diomede in the Bering Strait, though. But she hasn’t ever been there.
