I am in shipping business, so I will take care of the shipping to Toronto, Candada. This is my first time travelling to china. I do not know which city to go and where to find a good furniture market. I really appreciate your help

Every big city has a kind of furniture market / district. I can only say from my own experience living in Guangzhou, that in Panyu is a quite big market, where you can find almost any type / kind. From the most expensive and beautiful stuff to the most horribly cheap.

Guangzhou is only a small trip away from Hong Kong, and has a perfect connection for container loading. One thing worries me tho, and that is that you need to watch out that you can actually export them out of the country. Clearing is quite sharp, and sometimes expensive.

I once went to Dali in Yunnan (the west of China) and there most of the marble furniture comes from. The prices there were jaw dropping low. It’s just the shipping that will be a bit more difficult for a foreigner and without a translator by your side you’ll get quite stuck.

Hope that you can get what you find!

Shenzhen has alot of furniture malls and warehouses that house both modern and antique designs. The prices are cheap but during your visit beware of pickpockets and don’t bring anything too valuable, I lost my iPhone there. :(

Foshan in Guangdong Province is the center of the furniture trade. If you contact me through my website, I can give you specific information.

I would like to suggest you going to foshan (佛山)and Dongguan (东莞)due to quality goods at cheaper price than Shenzhen…

I think you need some furniture shops and not any manufacturer.

Each city in China has some areas where there is a cluster of furniture shops. Some cities have IKEA too. If you are in Shenzhen I suggest you go to Luohu, Baoanbeilu (宝安北路). There (and nearbey) is such a cluster of about 10-20 large furniture shops. Most sell cheap crap, but a good shop is Hoba (好百). They many nice design stuff and still workable prices.

A higher end mall is around the corner, on top of the Metro supermarket (next to B&Q).

I have some doubts it will be cheaper then in Canada though.

hire a local guide coz people won’t speak English to you…
make sure you checked the quality…
    those are the main points…
