It’s an amazing movie and play! It’s mainly about dealing with the AIDS disease and true love and loss of your true love! If you ever have time rent the movie its a great movie!

It totally agree with you , I go to a school that specialising in performing arts and all the first years compare REAL musicals (Rent,Cats,Phantom,Etc.) to HSM , it really annoys me , and my teachers too….Sorry Excuse my Rant…

transgender is an umbrella term. Crossdressers can be transgendered. Crossdressing refers to clothes, transgenderism to your mind or soul, so they’re kinda unrelated.

Yah I was talking about wilson I was replying to some other comment suggesting he’s a transsexual in real life. As for the skirt… LOL I bet he did. He’s got the legs for it! XD (Note DVD commentary) But uh… I dunno Ive never seen him in skirt. (besides Angel) If you watch videos of him outside playing Angel, hes pretty much a normal dude, and only wears guy clothes? Maybe he wore it because it was rent related? Which’d make sense, I dunno. =P

I’d say that’s just good acting. After all that was them basically declaring their adoration for each other and there is going to be awkwardness but there’s really no reason for the actors to be awkward with each other as they ARE the original Angel and Collins and did it on stage probably a hundred times.
So yeah…I think that’s just Jesse being a really good actor! Even though I myself only see a tiny bit of awkwardness (After the kiss, not durring) I guess to each his own!

Crossdressing =/= Transgenders. Crossdressers dress like they’re the other gender. Transgenders go all the way and have the surgerys and things so that they become the gender. There’s a difference.
