PLEASE EMAIL, WRITE, AND CALL YOUR CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS AND TELL THEM TIO REVERSE THIS LAW
the government is now forcing us to buy killer light bulbs by 2012 (this news cast says 2016, but web sites below say other wise), gee i wonder why?? to help kill more of us maybe???… aids, cancers, wars, genocide, poverty & starvation, (by the end of this year 28 million in the united states will be on food stamps) hmm… just not reducing the population fast enough,.. i know, lets force the slaves to light their houses with mercury! yeah that will help get rid of the bastards!
the bilderberg and cfr runned government has now banned traditional incandesent light bulbs by 2012 in other web sites,2016 by this account, call your congressmen and senators and stop this bullshit ban! its just another way to try to “thin out the herd” once again, with these dangerous cancerous bulbs, and they use the enviroment SCAM as a reason! thats right enviroment SCAM! GLOBAL WARMING SCAM!
http://www.valleymorningstar.com/opinion/compact_21002___article.html/fluorescent_bulbs.html
While many consumers already choose compact fluorescents, the bulbs don’t work for everyone. Some people claim fluorescent lighting hurts their eyes. Excessive exposure to fluorescent lighting - in factories and prisons - has been shown to cause depression, anxiety and migraine headaches.
Pioneer light researcher John Ott, quoted in a paper by the National Academy of Integrative Learning, coined the term “malillumination” to describe the negative, harmful effects of cool-white fluorescent lighting on human behavior.
They don’t work well with dimmers - or in extreme heat or cold. And there are concerns that the ultraviolet light that they emit can cause skin cancer.
And now, in the wake of the fluorescent mandate, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is warning that we shouldn’t use compact fluorescents over carpeted floors, and that pregnant women and other parents, should consider other options. The lights contain mercury, and when they break the liquid metal can vaporize and cause severe health hazards. If a compact fluorescent breaks over carpeting, the EPA warns, it’s nearly impossible to clean up the mercury without ripping out contaminated portions of the carpet.
Compact fluorescents are a fine product and millions of Americans are happily choosing them. But they’re not right for everyone. Many people might want to consider other options.
Unfortunately, they won’t be able to in 2012 - the year government begins choosing light bulbs for us.

Exposure to fluorescent bulbs at night may increase your risk of breast cancer by 37%:

Quote:
…the researchers found the breast cancer rate in localities with average night lighting to be 37 percent higher than in communities with the lowest amount of light; and they noted that the rate was higher by an additional 27 percent in areas with the highest amount of light.

Abraham Haim, a University of Haifa chronobiologist involved in the study, said the findings raise questions about the recent push to switch to energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs, which suppress melatonin production more than conventional incandescent bulbs. “This may be a disaster in another 20 years,” Haim said, “and you won’t be able to reverse what we did by mistake.” He called for more research before policies favoring fluorescent lights are implemented, and for more emphasis on using less light at night.http://www.reason.com/blog/show/125073.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/health/healthmain.html?in_article_id=506082&in_page_id=1774

    Go to organic store …
Go to organic store and buy heavy metal cleanse(herb). You NEED to detoxify the mercury(heavy meatl ) that you already inhaled. It’s no joke.

  2. 13lack1ce Says:

    I just found out …
I just found out that Im supose to throw away all the beding in the room that had broken glass on it and anything else it came into contact with. So explain How am I saving money this way?

  3. 13lack1ce Says:

    1 of these bulbs …
1 of these bulbs broke in a cieling fixure above my 2 year old sons bed, other then glass I had No Idea there was anymore danger. SO where does the mercury go once broke? how much is actuly in it that is released into the air or onto skin, then what do you do after words??? I read My light Bulb Packaging and it says nothing about what to do in this case. NO warnings at all. 4. oz22verizon Says:

    they call it “soft …
they call it “soft kill” of the population. some scientists say 20 years after this mandate there will be a breast cancer epidemic, i have a lot of info in the side bar… ill burn candles before i use these

  5. BG101UK Says:

    Exactly. So we …
Exactly. So we drain our $ or £ out of OUR economy to fund a country with one of the most polluting industrial bases on the planet. Not to mention the fossil fuels burned in transit.

Yet the US Govt bans MV lamps for street lights??

This is for NO OTHER REASON than to save $/£ for Govt-funded lighting depts. If it was an environmental issue (bearing in mind the lighting depts have access to proper lamp disposal/recycling, unlike the general public) why are they forcing these lamps on us?

  6. tmalloy102 Says:

    plus they are all …
plus they are all made in china! not one made in America. all light bulbs made in China! You want light give us your wealth. Are we incapable of making our own light bubls? didn’t we invent them?

  7. WebAnt Says:

    I will probably …
I will probably just wrap mine up real good and throw them in the trash. I do not drive and cannot go busing it all over the place every time I want to get rid of a darn light bulb. Hmmm, maybe my trash company will make a special container for them. I will have to talk to them about that.

  8. WebAnt Says:

    I agree. People …
I agree. People should be given a choice until at least those mercury containing bulbs can be made virtually unbreakable. Those bulbs should be tougher than incandescent bulbs based on what they contain. This is ridiculous. This is stupidity!

  9. WebAnt Says:

    Woah,that is scary. …
Woah, that is scary. So that is what the crazy Republican lady was talking about on another video I watched. She was saying something along the lines that Obama or I guess Democrats were responsible for trying to force Americans to use certain kinds of light bulbs. If the Democrats are indeed responsible for this, I see them catching when people start coming up sick after breaking or improperly disposing of those bulbs. What a mess.:-/

  10. blackberryjuice1 Says:

    Oh my goodness, get …
Oh my goodness, get your home inspected ASAP. Mercury can be just as toxic as lead to brain health. If you do the right thing, you might be okay, but don’t play around. Mercury is no joke.

  11. Jonhny2 Says:

    True that …
True that incandecent bulbs are energy inefficient. But the more energy efficient CFLs contain MERCURY! Think of what will happen when you discard a CFL. Multiply that by several million a year… And CFLs can’t replicate the ambience that incandescent bulbs provide. It’s still too early to ban the incandescent bulb.

  12. oz22verizon Says:

    please email and …
please email and call your congressmen and tell them to reverse this law

  13. booku4 Says:

I can no see with …
I can no see with the stupid csl bulbs! They do not give out enough light for me, so what are people like me to do? I hate it that our government has nothing else to do but control the usage of the wattage of my light bulbs!

  14. nvpublictv Says:

    Thanks for this vid …
Thanks for this vid and the others. DEfinitely sharing and will give my Congresscritters a piece of my mind. I had one of those light bulbs (courtesy of the local power company) — it shattered out of the blue. All I could do was worry about mercury. No way will I use those things, and I’m encouraging others to protect themselves from what will be a thinning of the herd.

  15. CleanGreenLight Says:

    Let me try some …
    Let me try some numbers:
The average household has 50 light bulbs, with an average life of 10 years. Each CFL bulb contains 20mg of mercury, so the mercury waste from one household is 1 gram every decade. With a toxic TLV of 25 microgrammes per cubic metre, that is potentially 40,000 cubic metres of toxic mercury vapour.
There are 30 million households in the UK alone, so that represents 30 metric tonnes of mercury released every decade, enough to pollute over 1000 cubic kilometres per decade.

  16. billsarebullyesyes Says:

    I AGREE, about …
I AGREE, about being dictated to as to what to buy. also, what to do when it comes to your own body. THEY are truly control freaks.
    PROBLEM, so am I.

  17. oz22verizon Says:

    exactly, mercury …
exactly, mercury evaporates into the air and yes you breath it in and it is very harmful, did you know they put mercury in flu vaccines also? it causes autism in children among other nerve disorders,Exposure to fluorescent bulbs at night may increase your risk of breast cancer by 37%:
Plus i dont like being TOLD what kind of light bulbs to buy either, its another corporate scam , everyone should email and call their congressmen and tell them to stop this from happening

  18. Waspnests Says:

    OMG What does …
OMG What does Mercury do??? Dropped one, stepped on pkg. breaking couple more in basement couple months back. Think they are still laying around somewhere. Oh well, time for a cig. and check back later for any response. Tks.

  19. billsarebullyesyes Says:

    OK they tell you …
OK they tell you how to clean-up. what about what you’ve breathed in, is that harmful? somethings can be more trouble than what they are worth. when they are on does the mercury
escape in anyway? alot of people may not take them to the bio-hazard dump, then the poison will get in the air, poisoning us more than they are now. food for thought.

  20. oz22verizon Says:

    i never thought of …
i never thought of that excellent point! please write to your congressman and ask others to do the same

  21. gewehrmeister3777 Says:

    Other problems with …
Other problems with CFLs include generation of harmonic distortion and low power factor. They also cannot be used in refrigerators, ovens, where heat from the lamp is needed(reptile cages/tanks and heat lamps), frequent switching applications, low temperature applications, high temperature applications, enclosed fixtures, base up applications for CFLs over 15 watts, applications requiring instantaneous illumination and dimmed fixtures(except for expensive dimmable CFLs).

  22. oz22verizon Says:

    you can get a …
you can get a distiller for 79 dollars

  23. crazymoo56 Says:

    Mercury also gets …
Mercury also gets into the water table. We’re drinking this crap!

  24. eartopsy Says:

    Those things make …
Those things make me sick. I’ll never never never use ‘em. I usually have to fight with my employer (oddly enough Verizon) to not keep those 4ft fluorescents over my head. WHY?!?!? Long live incandescents! Thanks for all the info oz22verizon - VERY informative!

  25. oz22verizon Says:

    i put up a site to …
i put up a site to view a documentary done by scientist who were denied grants because their findings did not support global warming, i also have it on my channel as a playlist “global warming by man is a scam”
its simply to tax the peopl more to monopolize energy and force people to buy a certain product, in this case light bulbs and by none other than general electric, the worlds largest nuclear contractor, they’re the ones who bought nbc and msmnbc and banned kucinich from the debates
