I recently got the game on PS3 and i want to buy a house. I don’t know whether i have to reach a certain point in the game or whether i could do it from the start. Can someone please help?
there’s a steward or stewardess in every town that you ask for a house for sale and usually they’ll say they don’t know you so persuade them. then just buy the house from them but its loads of cash.(i think the most for a house is 15,000
if you want a house in the Imperial City you need to go to the market district. look for a place called Office of Imperial Commerce. there’s a girl inside that will sell you a house for a very cheap offer like 2,000 or so

I think u must meet a king in that city u are in and ask him for it, but I dont rly remember

Ok, each city has a house to buy, but you have to prove yourself to the ruler/king of the city by doing quest for him or people in the city. ask him if there is a house to buy here, if he says "I dont trust you enough yet" then you have to prove yourself.

The first thing you’ll need is a ton of money as the homes in Oblivion are NOT cheap. Second, you’ll have to speak with the Count/Countess or their steward about purchasing a home in town. You might need to persuade them to a higher disposition rating in order for them to speak with you further about the subject.

bribe the person who is selling houses in the town to like you mor eand have lots of $$
