can someone sell the house to them if they have paid the person that owns the house a months rent?
there isnt a lease
I think you are asking whether the owner of the house can sell the house, even if a tenant has paid a month’s rent. The owner can always sell the house without the renter’s having any input on the decision. Of course, the renter can never sell the house as they don’t own it.

It’s likely to take up to 30 days, sometimes longer, to sell the house. Title has to be searched, potential Buyer has to be approved, home inspection and appraisal have to be conducted, plus a termite inspection.
The owner can sell while there is a tenant living inside. If the tenant is on a month to month lease, the new owner can give 30 days notice for the tenant to vacate. If a lease is in effect, the new owner must honor the lease.

An owner can sell the house. The bigger question is - do you have a lease? In most states a lease carries over to the new owner. They cannot evict you until the end of the lease - and all terms continue to apply, including the monthly rent amount. Another thing - did the new owner get possession of your security deposit (if you paid one)? That’s important for when you move out - be sure you can prove that you paid one.

If you mean can they sell the house subject to a rental agreement, most certainly. The new owners can either continue the rent, raise the rent, or evit you in the required notice time frame…done all the time.

sure. an owner of the house can sell his/her house at any time she wishes. Tenants has nothing to do of selling it’s rented property. They maybe paid a month or so in advance to its rent, then it has to be discuss to the buyer. Even with those date of occupancy or anything that comes…they sure have a remedy for those.
