HELP ………I have thought of buying sage green, blue, creme area rug. Even this does not go with the tweedy blue ugly carpet. We will do hardwood floors eventually. In the meantime, all I can think of is how I dislike blue and how it does not work with my colour scheme. I am going to buy creme furniture covers and this will help. but there are the accept pieces that still do not go with BLUE. HELP!!!!!!!
Replace carpet - problem solved. A hint when moving into a new house, any work not done in the first two months is likely never going to be done. People just start getting on with their lives after this point and stop noticing all those little jobs. I’d get those hardwood floors in asap.

Why so obsessed with the colour which exists in a house to which you are moving?
Surely you have imagination or cash to change things for yourself!

Why not just lift the tweedy blue carpet and get rid of it - whatever the surface underneath you can buy floor paint or a light stain to temporarily paint over the bare floorboards or chipboard until you can afford/get what you really want.
